How SecondVoice stores information on your device and uses external AI services.

Effective date: 21 October 2026 · Last updated: 21 October 2026

In short: SecondVoice stores app data locally on your device. When you use AI features, relevant information is transmitted to the external provider needed to deliver that feature.

1. Who operates SecondVoice?

SecondVoice is developed and operated by an independent developer. For privacy questions, contact info@kotkaramit.com.

2. Information stored on your device

Depending on how you use the app, local storage may include conversation messages and responses, personal instructions, saved memories, daily insights, emotional reflections, notification preferences, app settings and usage records needed for app functionality.

SecondVoice does not operate a remote database to store your conversations, memories or insights.

3. Information sent to AI providers

Some features require external AI processing. The information transmitted depends on the feature and the context needed to provide it.

Fireworks AI — conversational responses

When you send a message, relevant information may be sent to Fireworks AI to generate a response. This can include your message, relevant conversation history, personal instructions and contextual information provided to the model.

Provider privacy information: Fireworks AI Privacy Policy.

Google Gemini — text-to-speech

When you use the relevant text-to-speech feature, text required to generate speech may be sent to Google's Gemini service.

Provider terms: Gemini API Terms.

These providers may process technical information to deliver, maintain or secure their services. Their applicable terms and policies govern their handling of submitted information. Information sent to a provider leaves your device; local storage does not mean that AI processing happens exclusively on-device.

4. Invitation access and API keys

SecondVoice is invitation-only. AI functionality requires an API key supplied to invited users by the developer. The key is used to authenticate requests to the relevant provider and may be stored locally by the app. Protect your key and do not share it publicly. Contact info@kotkaramit.com if you believe it has been compromised.

5. Accounts

SecondVoice does not operate a cloud user profile or remote conversation-history database. Access is invitation-based and AI functionality uses the supplied API key. This section must be updated if remote authentication or account services are introduced.

6. Notifications

Notifications are scheduled locally on your device using the operating system's available notification functionality. You can manage permissions in your device settings and any controls provided in the app. SecondVoice does not operate a remote notification server for these locally scheduled notifications.

7. Analytics and tracking

SecondVoice is designed without a remote SecondVoice database for conversation content. External AI providers may process technical information. If analytics, crash reporting, advertising SDKs or other external services are added, this policy will be updated as necessary.

8. Retention

Local app information remains on your device until you delete it, remove the relevant app data or uninstall the app, subject to device and backup behaviour. We do not independently maintain a remote copy of your conversation database.

Information transmitted to AI providers is subject to their applicable retention and processing policies. Deleting a local conversation does not necessarily delete information already transmitted to a provider.

9. Deletion

Use the deletion controls available in SecondVoice to remove locally stored information. Uninstalling the app may also remove local app data. Deletion may be irreversible. Exported backups must be managed separately by you. Removing local records does not automatically delete information previously transmitted to an AI provider.

10. Database backups

SecondVoice lets you export and import database backups. A backup may contain conversations, memories, insights and other app information. Backups are managed by you; SecondVoice does not provide a cloud backup service for the conversation database.

If you save a backup in Files, a cloud storage service or another location, that location's storage and privacy practices apply. You are responsible for protecting and deleting exported files you no longer need.

11. Security

Local storage reduces the need for a central database of personal conversations, but no software or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Device security, operating-system settings and your handling of exported backups affect the protection of your information.

12. Children's privacy

SecondVoice is intended for adults and is not designed for children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information in connection with the service, contact info@kotkaramit.com.

13. International processing

When you use AI features, information may be processed by external providers in locations determined by their infrastructure and service arrangements, potentially outside your country of residence.

14. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including rights to request information about processing, seek deletion where applicable, or complain to a data protection authority. For questions about the developer's handling of information, contact info@kotkaramit.com.

15. Changes to this policy

This policy may change as the app, its features or service providers change. The latest version will be published on this page.
